Led by our in-house dietitian, Nutrition Services currently reaches more than 300 families each year through home visits, group programming, and one-on-one support. Each month, staff also plan meal packs for families. They include beginner-friendly recipes designed with culture, cost, skill level, and equipment access in mind. Our in-house dietician refines recipes with feedback from families, while providing nutrition information and fresh ingredients to make the meals simple and enriching.
The program also collaborates with St. David’s Day Treatments, Home Visiting and Therapeutic Recreation programs, as well as our clinical teams to support children’s health and independence in ways that are both fun and foundational: from rooftop gardens at our Minneapolis site to upcoming family cooking classes in our Nicollet Mall teaching kitchen, our Supplemental Nutrition Services program continues to grow.
