Since beginning Sensitive Parenting Support, Lu, a new mom experiencing mental health challenges, has found new strength in her role as a parent. She initially sought help for her own difficulty bonding with her newborn son. Over six months, she engaged deeply in attachment-based therapy and gradually began to feel more connected, more confident, and more supported. Now enrolled in our long-term Healthy Families program, she looks forward to her visits with her home visitor—moments she describes as “a chance to breathe and be heard.” With this support, she’s become a nurturing, attentive presence for both of her children. The delight they share is a quiet, powerful testament to the healing that happens when parents are supported to care for themselves and their children.
