Julie Sjordal

Over her 37 years at St. David's, Julie has held many roles in direct service, project management, and leadership, invariably focused on meeting the needs of children and families. Prior to taking on executive leadership in 2010, Julie served as managing director of programs, overseeing 25 lines of business and co-developing innovative service models and collaborative partnerships with counties, school districts, and nonprofits. As a dedicated and driven community leader with decades of experience to leverage, Julie’s been asked to serve on statewide councils and committees and nonprofit boards, and most recently, to lead a county workgroup to develop Hennepin’s family resource center model. She has many incredibly valuable qualities in a nonprofit leader, but perhaps the most important to many of us is her profound ability to hold mission and business in mind in making every single decision.   

Julie’s a graduate of our the University of Minnesota in Education, but found the professional passion of her lifetime in walking alongside families as they find their way. 

She lives in Golden Valley with her husband, Dan, and is the proud parent of two adult children, Luke and Ellie.
