*A note on using DAF payments: The IRS has strict rules when it comes to donor advised funds (DAFs) and charitable fundraising events. Specifically, they prohibit DAFs from covering any part of an event ticket, even if a segment of the ticket price is deemed tax-deductible. Additionally, grants may not be used to pay for items or services purchased or won at a charity auction.
