Since beginning Sensitive Parenting Support, Nora, a new mom experiencing mental health challenges and neurodiversity, has found new strength in her role as a parent. She initially sought help for her toddler’s tantrums, as well as her own difficulty bonding with her newborn son. Over six months, she engaged deeply in attachment-based therapy and gradually began to feel more connected, more confident, and more supported. Now enrolled in our long-term Healthy Families program, she looks forward to her visits with her home visitor—moments she describes as “a chance to breathe and be heard.” With this support, she’s become a nurturing, attentive presence for both of her children. Her toddler’s meltdowns are met with calm and care, and her baby’s smile often stops her mid-sentence with joy. The delight they share is a quiet, powerful testament to the healing that happens when parents are supported to care for themselves and their children.
