Discover simple ways to make healthy eating and gardening part of everyday life.
Our hands-on classes and family events are designed to help participants build confidence and independence.
Participants try new foods, engage in social interactions, and develop practical skills that foster independence. Cooking and gardening together not only build healthy habits but also create rich social experiences—sharing stories, collaborating on meals, and forming meaningful connections around the table.
- Interactive Cooking Classes
Weekly cooking sessions at Nicollet Mall, using portable cooking supplies and adaptive equipment. While we don’t have a teaching kitchen yet (expected in 2027), classes are designed to encourage independence. - Family Engagement Events
Quarterly gatherings where client families are invited to share a meal and enjoy activities together. - Accessible Gardening Classes
Rooftop gardening sessions with raised beds, including wheelchair-accessible options, to learn how to grow fresh, healthy foods.
